North Wales Training has become one of the most highly regarded private training providers in Wales. It delivers training across a variety of occupational areas both government funded and commercially.
North Wales Training has two training centres in Colwyn Bay and Deeside and operates across North, Mid and South East Wales.
The company is contracted by the Welsh Assembly Government to deliver Skill Build, Pre-Apprenticeship learning, Foundation and Modern Apprenticeships and Modern Skills Diplomas. Additionally an extensive portfolio of short courses is delivered at the two Training Centres, employer premises or venues throughout Wales.

From Strength to Strength
North Wales Training was founded in 1983 by seven senior business people from industry and commerce. Mr. George Newson MBE and Mr. Greg Pike are two of the original industrialists who still have an active role within the company. Mr George Newson MBE is the Chairperson of the Board of Directors and Mr Greg Pike is a Director. There is a third non-executive Director Mr MW Roberts FCA.
In June 2006 North Wales Training was re-recognised for the fourth time as an Investor in People company.
North Wales Training is committed to the Basic Skills Employer Pledge programme and achieved the coveted Post 16 Basic Skills Quality Mark in February 2007.
The Green Dragon Environmental Award at Level 2 was achieved in February 2007 and North Wales Training is also a member of the British Safety Council, a Corporate Member of FAST and has maintained the Employment Service Positive about Disabled logo for more than 10 years in succession.
North Wales Training is an active member in the 14-19 Networks in Denbighshire, Conwy, Flintshire and Wrexham.
In November 2006, North Wales Training achieved ‘excellent’ and ‘good’ grades in its Estyn Inspection. Retail, and Commercial Enterprise, Hospitality and Business Administration, Leadership, Management and Quality were considered outstanding by Estyn and were awarded Grade 1.
