Employment Training
Steps to Employment is a Welsh Goverment funded programme designed for unemployed adults 18+. Its aim is to help unemployed adults get back into work.
There are two strands of Steps to Employment
Work Focussed Training - is for eligible Adult learners who are not employed and who need to address a barrier before entering employment and further learning.
Work Focussed learning also allows learners to confirm occupational focus and provides learners with the breath and flexibility of skills they need to participate in the workforce.
Routeways - is an employer led programme for unemployed adults who are occupationally focussed and able to follow a bespoke programme of learning which meets the current or future vacancies of a particular employer/business.
Eligibility
Steps to Employment is available to people aged 18+ and who are receiving a benefit such as JSA (Job Seekers Allowance), ESA (Employment Support Allowance) or Income Support.
